Spring Break Camps: Orlando

School may be out, but your little ones don’t have to be bored for Spring Break. We’ve put together a list of some of Central Florida’s best places to get those kids off of the couch and into some serious fun.

A Kids Gym Spring Camp

Theme: Gymnastics and Play Groups
Dates: March 19–23
Time: 7 a.m.–6:30 p.m. (full day) or 8 a.m.–5 p.m. (partial day) Accurate? 8-5 seems like a full day.
Ages: Preschool (ages 1–5) and School Age (ages 5+)

Central Florida Zoo

Theme: Jungle Mania!

Travel with the Central Florida Zoo as they journey into jungle habitat. Adventures await as campers head out on a daring weeklong quest to find out what lives in the jungle and how animals survive. What does it take to be king of the jungle? Dare to discover wild animals in wild places on this trip into JUNGLE MANIA!

Cranium Academy

Theme: Save the Earth

This spring, Cranium campers will have a blast learning how to reduce, reuse and recycle as they begin their quest to save the planet! Each day, children will take on special projects that will introduce them to recycling activities that include creating art using reclaimed items. Interactive games on the learning station will allow children to use their math, reading and critical thinking skills to discover the impact that we each have on our planet. Whether using their energy on a recycling relay through our inflatables or indoor gym or exploring renewable resources in our outdoor playground, campers will love going green on their mission to save our planet!

Crealdé School of Art

Orange County History Center

Theme: Inventions Inside and Out

Go back in time and explore Florida inventions that we still use today! This year’s Spring Break Camp is based on the latest exhibit, Things Come Apart, and explores everyday inventions created right here in Central Florida. This is a great way to engage your kiddo in history through play!

Orlando Museum of Art

Theme: The Nature of Art, Spring Art Camp 2018

Kids will celebrate art as they enjoy projects inspired by nature. Campers create collages, paintings, assemblages and more with “eco art” in mind.

  • March 16 – Tree-mendous Art!
    Learn how to weave colorful designs using twigs as looms, while also learning how to paint a landscape using natural and recycled materials as paintbrushes.
  • March 19 – Creating with Nature
    Explore the legends, cultures, and myths of the Ancient Americas by making shelters out of wood and creatures out of clay!
  • March 20 – Passion for Fashion!
    Learn to stitch, bead, and design your own fashion accessories inspired by patterns and clothing displayed throughout the galleries.
  • March 21 – From Drab to Fab!
    Using found and recycled materials, fabrics, and embellishments, create beautiful wall hangings and sculptures inspired by art displayed in the Museum’s Contemporary Collection.
  • March 22 – The Beautiful Outdoors
    Capture the beauty of Lake Estelle, from the wildlife to the plant life, by drawing, painting, printmaking and more. Students will find inspiration for their creations in the galleries by looking at landscape paintings, sculptures and works done in clay.
  • March 23 – All About People
    Discover the tools, techniques and vocabulary that go into creating a portrait. Explore a variety of art forms and mediums as campers create art and visual stories with themselves as the subject!

Orlando Repertory Theater

Theme: Theater and Performance

Friday, March 16

  • Grades K5: School’s Out Spring Safari
    Campers come dressed as their favorite animals and spend a day at Orlando REP playing theatre games and exploring stories about their favorite animals!

Monday–Friday, March 19–23

  • Grades K–2: Emoji Madness
    Students create an original story through carefully structured creative play inspired by The Emoji Movie! Travel through Textopolis on a creative and fun “app-venture” where we learn to express ourselves and our true individuality! The class concludes in a presentation on the final day.
  • Grades 3–8: Lion King
    Experiment with building puppetry from found objects and then perform with those puppets in scenes and songs from Disney’s The Lion King. Combining visual arts with musical theatre, students will create and perform a completely unique and exciting version of this classic movie and Broadway show!

Orlando Science Center

Theme: STEM

TopGolf Kids Spring Academy

Theme: Golf

This program includes all the components that make up the great game of golf. From chipping, putting and taking full swings to rules and etiquette, kids will learn everything they need to know to improve their game. Each Academy is designed and taught by our professional golf instructors from TopGolf U in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Spring Academy is staffed with a low student-to-instructor ratio to ensure each Junior Golfer receives in-depth, hands-on attention while he or she develops a winning golf swing.

XL Soccer World Spring Break Camp
