Renaissance Charter School at Central Florida

Renaissance Charter School at Central Florida (RCSCF), of Orange County, Florida is a new, tuition-free public charter school educating students in grades K-8. RCSCF will be located in East Orlando near the University of Central Florida at 4780 Data Court, Orlando, FL 32817. RCSCF is currently accepting applications for grade levels K-6 for the 2018-2019 school year with plans to add subsequent grade levels each year.

Renaissance Charter School at Central Florida is governed by Renaissance Charter School, Inc. which consists of local community leaders: Ken Haiko, Dennis P. Clark, Thomas P. Wheeler, Margaret Wells, John O’Brien and Shane Strum, and is a member of the Charter Schools USA (CSUSA) family of schools. CSUSA is one of the nation’s leading charter school management companies, and the first education management company to receive corporation system-wide accreditation through AdvancED.

At the core of Renaissance Charter School at Central Florida’s education model is a guaranteed and viable curriculum, instilled by school leadership and a team dedicated to helping our students to achieve success in academics and in life. Personalized Learning Plans will be created for each student based on an assessment of their learning style. At RCSCF we believe that each child is unique and we will tailor lesson plans to support their individual growth. Through the help of IBM Watson™, we will gather data that will be used to drive instruction. The data collected in IBM Watson™ allows teachers to incorporate insights from student performance as a whole into their individualized approach. This includes tracking and using information obtained through academic performance, student interests, and SEL (Social-Emotional Learning).

At Renaissance Charter School at Central Florida, home of the Spartans, our students are required to wear uniforms. This encourages school pride and helps establish a healthy learning environment. School community is also fostered through enrichment classes and a variety of after-school sports and activities.

We also believe that children enjoy greater success in school when the adults they admire most take an active part in their education. We strongly encourage student’s parents or guardians to dedicate their time through volunteer hours each year for the school.

Space is still available to have your child join our school family today. To learn more or to apply visit our website at RECSCentralFlorida.org.
