Science Night Live at Orlando Science Center
Several times throughout the year, the Orlando Science Center opens its doors after hours for an evening of adults-only fun. Check out the grounds (kid-free!) as you sip on adult beverages, play trivia, explore exhibits and attend guest presentations. Tickets are $15.95 per person or free if you’re already a member.

Winter Park Art Tour
Spend an hour wandering through the Morse Museum on Park Avenue marveling at stained glass, lamps, jewelry and a chapel interior designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. There’s also an impressive collection of American art to peruse. Admission is regularly $6 but is free on Friday nights from from 4-8 p.m (November through April). Continue on to the free guided art tour at The Alfond Inn offered every Sunday at 1 p.m., or visit the Cornell Fine Arts Museum on the Rollins College campus (also free).

Game Time
The couple that plays together stays together! Head to WhirlyDome on I-Drive to learn a new game: WhirlyBall. The game is a fun combination of basketball, hockey and jai-alai played while zooming around the court on a bumper car-esque vehicle. The 10-minute game ($8 per person) will fly by as you attempt to score as many points as possible, likely while laughing uncontrollably. Celebrate your victory at the on-site pub and eatery, or continue the fun with a game of laser tag.

Spoken Word and Literary Events
Change up your date night routine with an evening spent mingling with Orlando’s literary community. Listen to strangers read excerpts from their childhood diaries during Orlando Cringe, or attend There Will Be Words, a quarterly literary series highlighting local talent through poetry and readings. Functionally Literate is another unique event that pairs visiting writers and Central Florida writers with the local community for a quarterly reading series.

Grande Lakes Whisper Creek Fables
Whisper Creek Farm, part of the expansive Grande Lakes property, is an ideal respite for foodies. Through a series of farm-to-table experiences, you’ll go behind the scenes at the farm for a delectable date. Pick out your favorite ingredients for a Chef’s Table experience and sip on a welcome cocktail during Farm to Fare ($190–$440 per couple). Alternatively, get an insider’s look at the farm’s role in craft beer production followed by a beer and food sampling during Farm to Foam ($170 per couple).
