The Dr. Phillips Center Florida Hospital School of the Arts continues its award-winning programming with the announcement of the 2016 Fall Semester classes. Registration for these classes is now open.

The Dr. Phillips Center Florida Hospital School of the Arts uses the arts to its full benefit in the development of each student from 3 to 103. Performing arts training combines movement, language, music and making choices to develop a student’s gross motor, fine motor and memory skills.

“We want people to be inspired and challenged,” said Kathy Ramsberger, president and CEO of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. “Our promise is that by experiencing performing arts as a student that you will grow in body, mind and imagination.”

“We provide a safe space for students to take risks and make discoveries,” added Dana Brazil, director of education at the Dr. Phillips Center Florida Hospital School of the Arts. “When you participate in the performing arts, you build self-esteem while enhancing other academic disciplines by promoting problem-solving and collaborating to achieve a common goal.”

Prospective students can visit drphillipscenter.org/classes, call 407.455.5551, or schedule a time to register in person at the arts center by emailing classes@drphillipscenter.org. Early registration is encouraged by August 12, 2016. Schedule and teachers are subject to change.
