How To Kids Fringe

Hey Playground readers!

My name is Genevieve Bernard, and I’m returning as Producer of Kids Fringe. Fringe is my favorite time of year in Orlando, and Kids Fringe has a special place in my heart. Our Kids Fringe team has worked hard to put together a super-fun, interactive festival with something for everyone! Below I’ll share my suggestions for How to Kids Fringe.

Kids Fringe has partnered with the Orlando Fire Museum and we’ve moved to an exciting new location. We’re situated next to the Orlando Fire Museum and behind the Orlando Shakespeare Theater, convenient for visiting the Big Fringe festival after you’ve had some Kids Fringe fun. Also, the Fire Museum is opening their doors on Saturday and Sunday from 9am-4pm just for us, so take advantage of the opportunity to see a restored fire engine from 1926!

How To Kids Fringe

Check the Kids Fringe Facebook for up-to-the-minute information.

Plan which day you are going to visit, or go all four days!

  • Saturday, May 20: Around The World
  • Sunday, May 21: Animals are Awesome!
  • Saturday, May 27: Hug the World
  • Sunday, May 28: Kids Fringe: Meet Big Fringe

Park at the Florida Hospital Garage (2328 Alden Rd, Orlando, FL 32803)
Parking is FREE on Saturday and a small fee on Sunday. There is NO parking at the Kids Fringe site.

Walk down the sidewalk to Kids Fringe (814 E Rollins St, Orlando, FL 32803)
The walk is a pleasant 4 minute walk.

Fuel up– You’ll pass Downtown Credo Coffee on your way (550 E. Rollins St., Orlando 32803)

Arrive at Kids Fringe, only 4 minutes later AND with coffee in hand!

Stop at our info booth. Check the board for the daily Kids Fringe schedule, the Family Friendly shows at Fringe and other fun stuff.

Explore Fringezilla’s Mainstage, where you’ll see shows by Fringe performers, local artists and animals.

Participate in a workshop and learn to drum, sing, bellydance, spin a flag and much more!
Make some cool art projects in Craftland, learn to say hello in another language, meet a professional puppet builder and more. March in our parade over to the Big Fringe.

Bring your change for water, vintage sodas, healthy drinks and throwback candy. Pop rocks and ring pops, anyone? We’ll also have an ice cream truck and a funnel cake vendor. Yum!

Chill out
and visit the air conditioned fire museum and sit at the picnic tables under the oak trees at the Fire Museum.

Plan your Big Fringe excursion! Check out a family friendly show and join us on Sunday, March 28th as we parade over to the Teen Thespian Showcase to see A Year with Frog and Toad. This family-friendly show is at 1 p.m. and only $5. Click Here to get advance tickets, or purchase them right at the venue.

Kids Fringe has cool stuff for everyone (including parents) and every day is different. I hope you join us for the fun!

Happy Kids Fringe,

Genevieve
