Public & Permanent: Keep Kids Safe Online

The Christ School is pleased to host IROC2‘s (The Institute for Responsible Online and Cell Phone Communication) informative program, “Public and Permanent.” Two sessions will take place. The first session, geared toward parents of children of all ages, is held on Monday, October 3, 2016, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  The second session, geared towards students in grades 5 – 8, is held on Tuesday, October 4, from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. The Christ School is located at 106 E. Church Street, Orlando. The public is invited to both sessions.  Admission is free.  RSVPs are requested at, or by phone at 407-849-1665.

Presented by author Richard Guerry, Public and Permanent is designed to teach families how to keep safe online. Attendees will learn how to be a responsible technology user while gaining the wisdom to prevent negative, irresponsible, and malicious digital behaviors and trends. Topics in the presentation include cyber bullying, inappropriate photos, the irresponsible use of apps, poor social media behaviors, and inappropriate posting by both children and adults. The program received the School Safety Advocacy Council’s Exemplary School Safety Program Award and Exemplary School Safety Initiative Award.

Richard Guerry is the author of multiple cyber safety books and has been a featured speaker at numerous national and international conferences. He has appeared as an expert on Radio Disney, CNN, Fox, CBS, MTV’s Thin Line Campaign, Parade Magazine, and many local, regional and international publications.
