With back-to-school on the horizon, is it possible that you’ve already exhausted all the fun Orlando has to offer this summer? If you’re bored of the beach and done with Disney, consider taking a walk on the wild side these last few weeks of summer with a day trip to Busch Gardens Tampa.

In addition to everything you already know and love about Busch Gardens, here are three brand-new reasons to make that drive down I-4.
Adorable Lion Cubs
Have you ever seen a lion so cute and cuddly that you just wanted to pick it up and squeeze it? Probably not, but the three newest additions to the Busch Gardens family will make you wish you could do just that! The trio of South African lions – two females and an unrelated male – has formed a new pride and can be seen in their habitat in the Edge of Africa. Though only a few months old, the cubs are growing quickly, so be sure to get there this summer if you want to catch them while they’re still cuddle-worthy.
Madagascar Live: Operation Vacation
When you’re ready to cool off from your time on the savannah, head over to the Stanleyville Theater (newly-enclosed and air conditioned!) to “move it, move it” with all your favorite Madagascar friends in this brand new stage show. Accompanied by singers, dancers and a live band, Alex, Gloria, King Julien and of course, those crazy penguins vacation right along with Busch Gardens guests. After the show, stick around for a meet-and-greet and photo op with the characters.
In addition to longer park hours, Busch Gardens is ending each night this summer with its award-winning Kinetix show, a rock-fueled performance by singers, dancers, acrobats and musicians from around the world. And as the grand finale, they light up the sky with an incredible fireworks extravaganza that can be seen from all parts of the park.
Whether you’re there to take on the legendary roller coasters or to get up close and personal with the newest animal additions, this fun, diverse park is the perfect solution to the end-of-summer slump!
